Noida, May 6, 2025 тАУ In a heartwarming celebration of World Laughter Day, laughter echoed through parks and streets as people across the globe came together to celebrate the power of joyful connection. The annual event, observed on the first Sunday of May, aims to promote global peace, wellness, and unity through the simple yet powerful act of laughing together.

The origins of World Laughter Day trace back to 10 May 1998 in Mumbai, India, where Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the Laughter Yoga Movement, led the first celebration. Since then, the movement has grown exponentially, touching millions of lives.

ЁЯМЯ Evening Laughter Yoga Club Debuts in Noida

In Sector 21, Noida, a vibrant and enthusiastic celebration took place at the P/F Block Park, led by the newly-formed Evening Laughter Yoga Club in collaboration with JVCC Laughter Club, their mentor organization. This marked their first World Laughter Day event, and it was a resounding success with over 150 participants, including super senior citizens and young members.

The atmosphere was filled with smiles, cheer, and boundless positive energy as laughter yoga practitioners engaged in playful, stress-relieving exercises. Members reported a variety of benefitsтАФfrom improved mental health, lower stress levels, to enhanced confidence and overall happiness.

The celebration was graced by Dr. Santosh Sahi, Laughter Ambassador of Delhi Laughter Club, who was welcomed warmly by Commander Narinder Mahajan and the core committee members. The session was joyfully conducted by laughter leaders Harish Mehta and Purshottam Bajaj, who kept the energy high with creative laughter exercises like “Windmill Laughter” and the fun-filled “Making Lassi” routine.

A lively Dance Medley and a soulful Gratitude Song added to the emotional and celebratory spirit of the event. Dr. Sahi not only addressed the gathering but also joined in the laughter and dance, further boosting enthusiasm.

Together, the JVCC and Evening Laughter Club introduced over 100 new participants to the practice of Laughter Yoga, reinforcing their shared mission:
